Stink Bugs
Stink bug control in NWA and Mountain Home
Hopper is your best bet for effective stink bug control in Northwest Arkansas and Mountain Home!
In some parts of the country, stink bugs are considered just a fact of life– you’ve probably seen them around your home, school, or office for years.
When you just see one stink bug every so often, it’s most likely not a big deal. But if you start to see more, it could become a much bigger problem.
Stink bugs are not dangerous pests. They don’t bite and they don’t carry diseases like some other creepy-crawly creatures, making them an annoyance rather than a true hazard.
Thankfully, our reliable and experienced exterminators can provide you with long-lasting, effective stink bug control services in Springdale, Fayetteville, Mountain Home, and throughout Northern Arkansas and Southern Missouri.
If you’re seeing stink bugs around your home and want to get rid of them for good, or schedule a consultation, just give us a call!

Hopper’s stink bug control service FAQ’s
How can I tell if I have a stink bug infestation?
The telltale sign of an infestation in your home is simply the presence of a large number of stink bugs. Seeing a great quantity of either live or dead stink bugs is indicative of an infestation problem.
If you’re seeing lots of stink bugs around your home, you’re likely dealing with an infestation– and it’s time to contact a professional.
Why are stink bugs attracted to my home?
Like many other pests, stink bugs are attracted to your home because they’re seeking shelter. When temperatures fall or outdoor conditions become otherwise uncomfortable, they’re naturally drawn toward warmer, sheltered spaces– like your home.
You may have heard the old rumor that killing a stink bug (and allowing it to release stink bugs’ “signature scent”) attracts more stink bugs. While this is not true, stink bugs do communicate to each other via pheromone. If stink bugs have found your home to be a comfortable spot for shelter, they’ll broadcast this message to other stink bugs via pheromone trails… and more bugs will show up!
Additionally, stink bugs may also be attracted to your home if you have plenty of entry points for them, like cracks under doors or around windows.
How will pest control professionals treat a stink bug infestation in my home?
If you’ve noticed an infestation in your home, calling in the professionals is definitely the right way to go.
When your pest care experts arrive at your home, they’ll scope out the scene, checking for any unsecured entryways that the bugs might have found. The first step they’ll take is most likely sealing up anywhere the bugs might be coming in, like cracks around windows and doors.
Once those entryways have been sealed up, your pest control team will remove the stink bugs they find around your home and then treat the property with special chemicals to prevent more from showing up.
Is there anything I can do to prevent stink bug infestations on my own?
Unlike other pests, stink bugs probably aren’t looking for food in your home– they eat plants. Instead, they’re usually just looking for a warmer spot to spend the winter.
The main thing you can do to prevent stink bug infestations– or infestations of any other unwanted critter– is to carefully check out the perimeter of your house to make sure there aren’t any unsealed gaps or cracks that pests can enter through.
Additionally, stink bugs are attracted to light– so if you have any bright exterior lights on your house that stay on at night, you might consider turning those off whenever possible to avoid attracting insects.
